Chris Jordan joins TKR
Chris Jordan, the veteran English all-rounder, is set to make his debut in the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) in 2024, having signed for three-time champions Trinbago Knight Riders (TKR).
The 34-year-old Jordan is a highly experienced campaigner in T20 cricket, having played in various leagues around the world, including the Indian Premier League (IPL), Big Bash League (BBL), and Pakistan Super League (PSL).
He is a skilled death bowler, known for his variations and ability to bowl yorkers at will. He is also a handy lower-order batsman, capable of providing valuable runs in the latter stages of an innings.
Nathan Sowter replaces injured Imran Tahir at Warriors
The Guyana Amazon Warriors have signed Nathan Sowter as a replacement for the injured Imran Tahir for the 2024 CPL season.
Sowter, a 29-year-old leg-spinner from Australia, has been in impressive form in recent months, taking 23 wickets in 10 matches for the Hobart Hurricanes in the BBL.
He is a skillful bowler, known for his accuracy and ability to turn the ball sharply. He is also a useful lower-order batsman, capable of hitting big shots.
CPL 2024 promises to be an exciting tournament
The 2024 CPL season promises to be an exciting tournament, with a number of high-profile players set to participate.
In addition to Chris Jordan and Nathan Sowter, other big names set to feature in the tournament include Andre Russell, Kieron Pollard, Dwayne Bravo, and Rashid Khan.
The tournament will be played across six venues in the Caribbean from August 1 to September 15.
