Volleyball at the 2024 Summer Olympics

Overview

The volleyball tournaments at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris are scheduled to run from 27 July to 11 August 2024. Twenty-four (24) volleyball teams and forty-eight (48) beach volleyball teams will compete in the Games.

Volleyball

The women's tournament in volleyball at the 2024 Summer Olympics will be the 16th edition of the event at the Summer Olympics organized by the world's governing body, the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB). The tournament will feature 12 teams competing for the gold medal. The top four teams from the 2022 FIVB Volleyball Women's World Championship will qualify for the Olympics, along with the host nation, France. The remaining seven teams will qualify through continental tournaments.

Beach Volleyball

The beach volleyball tournament at the 2024 Summer Olympics will be the eighth edition of the event at the Summer Olympics, organized by the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB). The tournament will feature 24 teams competing for the gold medal in both the men's and women's events. The top 16 teams from the FIVB Beach Volleyball World Rankings will qualify for the Olympics, along with the host nation, France. The remaining eight teams will qualify through continental tournaments.
